Anyone that knows our family knows we love to travel and we love learning about the new destination. But while we can’t go to every city we want, we can learn about them. We love to learn about a city’s history, learn what businesses are located there, learn what tourists love to do and learn what the locals love about their town.

When we were preparing for our trip to Spain we stopped learning out of our history books and threw ourselves into the culture of Spain. We wanted to learn more about Madrid and Barcelona. We wanted to visit the touristy spots and researched when to visit…. Park Guell is a different visit in the evening than during the day, or so I hear. We studied Rosetta Stone for hours and played Duolingo on my phone. We got printouts on teacherspayteachers.com and my kids learned what a flamenco dancer was and we of course practiced for siesta. Explore Local Box

Even when we don’t get to visit a city, it is incredibly fun to learn about a new place.

We recently had the opportunity to learn about Nashville, TN. My husband and I have been there many times, but my kids haven’t had the pleasure to visit just yet. But we did get the chance to learn a little about Nashville. Explore Local Box

Disclosure: We did receive free product in exchange for a review.

Explore Local Box was kind enough to send us a box for Nashville. Explore Local Box is a box subscription, each month you will get a new box with products from that city. AND they send great information about the city so you not only experience the goods of the place, but you can also learn a little about a new spot.

The Explore Local Box also has the opportunity for an add-on for kids. We got greeting cards that the kids will be able to color before sending them out. They love sending mail, and this will make it just a little more fun.

I am in love with the popcorn from Prohibition Popcorn. And the Tru Bee lip balm is fantastic. We made the Sea Salt biscuits, but I couldn’t get a photo before the family ate them all.  They were a hit. And I am excited to use the Key Lime soap. It smells like pie, y’all!

I love what Explore Local Box is doing, supporting small businesses and helping those of us that love travel to explore a new city! You just can’t beat it. I hope you love yours!Explore Local Box
